VIDEO: Ferdinand Omanyala shows off Sh50m Ruiru mansion, credits hardwork

Kenya’s sprint sensation Ferdinand Omanyala has given fans a glimpse into his luxurious new life, showing off his sprawling seven-bedroom mansion in Ruiru, Kiambu County.

In a short video posted online, Omanyala is seen moving around his completed home, captioning it, “I’m so grateful,” to the upbeat track Time of My Life by Nyashinski and Bien.

The brief clip showcased the modern design, expansive spaces, and personal touches to his house, which cost him nearly Sh50 million.

The mansion features a striking contemporary design in charcoal grey and off-white, with clean, geometric lines and massive floor-to-ceiling glass windows framed in dark aluminium that fill the interiors with natural light.

It also features thick square pillars supporting an expansive first-floor balcony with ornate wrought-iron railings, while modern pendant lanterns hang from the porch ceilings, illuminating the manicured lawns and stone walkways below.

Omanyala’s career took off in 2021 when he won gold in the 100m at both the Commonwealth Games and the African Championships in Athletics. A dominant force in the 60m, 100m, and 200m, he quickly established himself as Africa’s fastest man.

His most lucrative year came in 2024, building on his career since 2016.

Beyond prize money from 27 races, including appearance fees and bonuses, Omanyala signed high-profile endorsements with Adidas in 2022, followed by other high-profile local and international brands.

His deal with a local brewer alone earned him Sh5 million as their Paris Olympics brand influencer.

“2024 was the year I made most of my millions,” he said, crediting both his performance on the track and smart brand partnerships.
