Kenyan singer and songwriter Njerae is set to release a new single titled Ingia Ndani, marking her first major drop this year.
Speaking on the fresh release, she said the song reflects a shift in both her sound and personal outlook.
“This song is an invitation to let someone see you fully, without walls. Ingia Ndani feels like a new chapter for me, sonically and personally,” she said.
The single leans into stripped-back but layered production, foregrounding her vocals and songwriting. It is expected to be available on major streaming platforms globally.
The Nairobi-based artist has built a steady following on the back of what she describes as an Afro Indie sound, blending R & B and soul influences.
Over the past two years, Njerae has become a regular on the live music circuit, performing at local and international platforms.
Her debut album, Unintentional, has been streamed more than 14.5 million times, according to official figures.
One of its standout tracks, Aki Sioni, has surpassed 7.5 million streams and gained traction among young listeners for its candid take on heartbreak and relationships.
Njerae has since released the EPs Out with The Old and Four Letter Word, later expanding the latter with a deluxe edition.
Ingia Ndani, which translates to come inside, continues that trajectory.
With streaming numbers climbing and more regional performances under her belt, the latest release will test whether she can convert critical buzz and live appeal into sustained mainstream momentum.
