Moments after the Court of Appeal vested the National Police Service (NPS) with powers to recruit, manage and promote police officers, Inspector-General Douglas Kanja issued letters of promotion to 300 individuals.
Sources in the police service said that more promotions are expected in the coming days, as the NPS starts to restructure its operations in preparations for the 2027 General Election.
