Kenya’s Terry Ann Blessing Akoth is ready to take on the continental stage at the 2025 Miss Beauty of Africa International Pageant (BAIP).

The highly anticipated event will be held on February 15 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

Speaking during her breakfast send-off ceremony at Finix Casino, Nairobi, the confident beauty queen expressed her determination to bring the crown home, following in the footsteps of Cindy Isendi, who won the prestigious title in 2019.

“I am happy and delighted to be flying Kenya’s flag at the continental stage, and I promise to do my best and make my motherland proud,” Terry Ann said.

During the event, Finix Casino Liaison Officer Cliff Mboya presented her with a return air ticket, affirming the casino’s support for her journey.

“We are very proud to be part of BAIP, as this aligns with our mission to support beauty, talent, and sports in our country,” said Mboya.

Terry Ann is a model and actress with a deep passion for nature and art. A skilled violinist, she also dedicates her time to her humanitarian initiative, Empowering All, which focuses on poverty alleviation and promoting social equity.

As a student at KCA University, her vision is to foster an inclusive society in Kenya, where equal opportunities and support systems uplift every individual.

Having won the BAIP Kenya title in 2024, Terry Ann described the opportunity as both surreal and humbling.

“It’s an honour to represent the beauty, strength, and resilience of African women on such an incredible platform,” she said.

“My goal is to celebrate and preserve our rich African culture and heritage while empowering communities through my project, Empowering All. By merging these two, I aim to uplift marginalized groups and create opportunities for those facing poverty and inequality,” she added.

Kenya has consistently performed well in the BAIP competition. Cindy Isendi claimed the crown in 2019, but the event was halted in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2021, a Namibian model won, with Kenya’s Miriam Rae finishing as first runner-up. In 2022, Kenya’s Messry Lungatso emerged victorious, while in 2024, Joy Wambugu secured a spot in the top five.

As Terry Ann gears up for the grand finale in Addis Ababa, hopes are high that she will once again make Kenya proud.
