Kenyan content creator Boina has responded to backlash following threats from an anonymous hacker who claimed to possess—and intended to leak—her alleged erotic photos and videos.
Known for her “always eating” content, Boina had earlier shared a screenshot of an email from someone claiming to be a hacker.
The individual threatened to upload the alleged files on Telegram and send them to her family and friends.
The sender reportedly demanded Sh25,000 in exchange for not exposing the content.
The situation sparked mixed reactions online after Boina defiantly told the alleged blackmailer to “do whatever you want”.
In a video addressing the rumours circulating on social media, Boina denied ever having taken or shared any erotic or nude content.
She dismissed the claims as fabricated stories aimed at bringing down content creators and influencers.
“You’ve probably seen everything going on online—and honestly, this isn’t the first time. I posted an email from someone calling themselves ‘Anonymous’ who claimed to have nude photos and videos of me. But it’s so easy for people to make up stories, make a video, or talk about me online,” she said.
Boina went on to clarify that she had never had a boyfriend to whom she might have sent such photos, and therefore had no idea what the hacker was referring to.
“When I posted the email, I already knew there was nothing to expose. I’ve never even had a boyfriend I could send nudes to. So, when someone claims to have seen my videos, I honestly wonder what they’re talking about. Anyone can wake up one day and make up stories about you—but you have to move on,” she added.
The self-proclaimed foodie emphasised that she has much more meaningful content to create and share, and that she would not be derailed by baseless accusations.
She also called out women who were criticising her over the rumours, urging them to stay focused on their own goals.
“My life has to move on because I have so much content already posted—and even more on the way. I have many deals and contracts yet to sign, and I worry how these rumours might affect how people see me,” she said.
“Some ladies are even making videos about the situation and I’m just thinking, ‘What are you doing, sister?’ This is a man’s world—we, as women, have to find our way through it. Don’t lose focus on your journey to success.”
