What was meant to be a celebration of love and culture has stirred a fashion storm online, after controversial TikToker Nyako slammed the outfits at Ohangla sensation Prince Indah’s glamorous traditional wedding.

The Migori event, which took place on Sunday, April 13, was nothing short of opulent.

From luxurious décor to bold fashion choices, the wedding was a true spectacle. But not everyone was impressed.

Nyako, never one to hold her tongue, tore into the styling decisions via TikTok Live. Though she acknowledged the beauty of the ceremony, she did not mince words about the attire.

“The wedding was beautiful, but the person who made those outfits needs to be fired immediately,” she declared, targeting designer duo Bolo Bespoke and his wife, Mueni.

Her comments did not go unnoticed. Media personality Oga Obinna responded in his signature bold style, posting a video on Instagram seemingly directed at the TikToker.

“Everyone should just plan their own wedding and wear whatever they want,” Obinna began.

He added, “Let’s stop giving opinions on things we didn’t donate to, weren’t invited to, and that don’t concern us. If someone wants to wear a curtain on their wedding, let them. When it’s your wedding, wear your duvet if you like. People should mind their own business and deal with their own struggles.”

Obinna’s comments echoed the sentiments of many who felt the criticism was unwarranted and mean-spirited.

Adding a touch of humour, comedian Terence Creative jumped into the fray.

In a cheeky jab, he commented, “We’ll wait for your wedding, where you’ll wear a dera and mavins. This is what they wanted.”

Popular DJ and music promoter Vdj Jones also chimed in, suggesting the backlash was rooted in envy.

“People filled with hate are usually the ones who wish it was them getting that treatment. That’s jealousy, plain and simple,” he said on Instagram.

Despite the online jabs, Prince Indah and his bride Winnie Nyamigori pulled off a breathtaking affair that embraced elegance and African flair.

The groom dazzled in a pristine white outfit, adorned with Nigerian beads and crowned with a golden Fila Gobi hat.

His groomsmen rocked regal agbadas, while the bride stunned in a gold, brown and white gown that turned heads.

The couple’s grand celebration, reportedly cost Ksh 2 million.
