APS Bomet FC tightened their grip on the second Position on National Super League,NSL, Standings after defeating 3K FC 3-2 at Bomet Stadium.

The win leaves APS in second position with 52 points one adrift of leaders Nairobi United who have a game in hand.

“The game was hard for both sides. I can’t say that we had a better rating than our opponent who came prepared,” Said Michael Muhandia, the Assistant Coach to APS Bomet FC.

Muhandia remained confident that the team will eran automatic qualification to Kenya Premier League next season

“We thank God for the three  points but the race is still on, our fans came in big numbers to support us and we are assuring them that we shall do well in the remaining games,” he added.

APS Bomet players  Antony Naibei and Jimmy Nzechere reflected on the teams labored win against 3K FC under the incessant downpour.

“The game was fine, though the weather was not conducive, we tried our best,” said Naibei.

“The game was fair, though the winning to us was somehow gone but we promise that in the next games we are going to win since the winning spirit is back,” Said Nzechere.

The defeat leaves  the Embu based 3K FC in 11th position with 36 points.
