Kenyan celebrities Jackie Matubia, DJ Pierra Makena, Eric Omondi’s ex Lynne Njihia, Carey Priscilla and Ofentse Tsipa, will make a debut on the show that is set to premiere this month.

Following successful editions in South Africa and Tanzania, The Mommy Club NBO will offer a glimpse into the lives of five affluent Kenyan mothers as they navigate the unique blend of parenting, ambition, and glamour in Nairobi.

“We are thrilled to bring The Mommy Club to Kenya and shine a light on the multifaceted lives of these remarkable women,” said Patricia Gichinga, Head of Production, M-Net.

“The show celebrates motherhood in all its dimensions from the joys and struggles of raising children to the pursuit of personal dreams all set against the dynamic and vibrant culture of Nairobi.”

Jackie Matubia, a 34-year-old Kalasha-nominated actress and digital creator, will open up about raising her two daughters, Zari and Zendaya, from different fathers.

Matubia does not shy away from addressing the challenges of co-parenting and has been vocal about maintaining strong ties between her children and their respective families.

Celebrated DJ Pierra Makena, 43, an established name in entertainment and an unapologetic single mother to her daughter Ricca, will also share her journey.

Unfazed by societal expectations, she remains unapologetic about being unmarried, despite her baby daddy’s marriage to someone else while she was pregnant.

While at it, Carey Priscilla, brings a different kind of energy to the mix. As the founder of Carey Beauty School and a mother of three, she balances business, family life, and her growing online presence.

She’s also known for her comedic skits with her husband Benitto, and her recent openness about family planning has sparked wide discussion online.

Representing a younger generation is Lynne Njihia, a 23-year-old influencer. A new mom to a baby girl, she shares her journey with raw honesty.

Her relatability and confidence resonate with a younger, digitally-savvy audience.

Ofentse Tsipa, 36, will also bring an international lens to the show. Originally from South Africa, she now lives in Nairobi with her Dutch husband and their two children.

A life coach and student at USIU-Africa, Ofentse uses her platform to guide others through financial literacy and self-discovery.

Her podcast, marked by her introspective nature and high standards, is an extension of her multi-layered life.

The show is produced by Eugene Mbugua’s D&R Studios, the creative force behind the hit reality show The Real Housewives of Nairobi.
