Deputy President Kithure Kindiki on Wednesday hosted senior officials
of the Ministry of Agriculture over ongoing reforms.

In the meeting held at his Karen residence, the officials
discussed the ongoing transformation of key value chains in various subsectors.

They include tea, coffee, rice, sugar, dairy, horticulture,
nuts, cotton and edible oils, among others for food security and economic
empowerment.

The DP has been supervising the revitalisation of key value chains in the agriculture sector.

The officials included senior advisors to the President.

This is in line with the Bottom-up Economic Transformation
Agenda (Beta).

The meeting is a follow-up to the March 4 meeting, where he
received a technical briefing on progress made and the status of productivity
of the priority agricultural value chains.
