Kenya has witnessed a steady decline in motor vehicle imports over the past five years, reaching the lowest levels since 2019, according to the 2025 Economic Survey report by the Kenya National Bureau of Statistics (KNBS).

According to the latest figures, vehicle imports fell by 10.9 per cent in 2023 to 78,127 units, down from 87,648 units recorded in 2022.
