Fans of the American horror film Final Destination: Bloodlines got a real shock during a screening in Argentina.
A woman was almost crushed by a falling ceiling while watching the movie at Cinema Ocho theatre in La Plata.
According to Daily Mail, the incident happened while Fiamma Villaverde, who was celebrating her 29th birthday, was at the cinema with her 11-year-old daughter and a friend. A large piece of the ceiling fell right on top of her.
Villaverde explained that she didn’t plan to see Bloodlines. She said, “It was my birthday, and we were just walking around. We saw the cinema and noticed the tickets were cheaper than usual. So we decided to go in, get some popcorn, and watch the film.”
She remembers that the movie was almost finished when she heard a loud noise. “At first, we thought it was part of the movie because we were so focused,” Villaverde said. “But then a huge piece of the ceiling fell on me.” She hurt her knee and was taken to the hospital to make sure she was okay.
The news spread quickly on social media, where people made dark jokes about the incident.
One person said, “She played with death… now she’s changed the pattern.” Another joked, “Final Destination in real life,” while another added, “She got the true film experience then.”
