Chelsea’s rising star Cole Palmer has taken his on-pitch cool to a whole new level, and this time, it is on ice.
In a fresh Beats by Dre campaign inspired by his nickname “Cold,” the 22-year-old forward swaps the football boots for Nike Air Force Ones and gracefully glides across an ice rink. The campaign, fittingly titled Some Play, Others Glide, celebrates Palmer’s chilled-out personality, both on and off the pitch.
Set to the dreamy tune of Lee Hazlewood’s Your Sweet Love, the video shows Cole skating effortlessly, Beats Studio Pro headphones snug on his ears, as if the world outside has melted away.
Speaking about the collaboration, Cole shared,
“Music is always part of my routine, so I’m honoured to be amongst some of the greatest names in sport and teaming up with Beats. The ‘cold’ celebration is about staying composed and confident both on and off the pitch, so it was fun to do this with Beats.”
Palmer is not the only Premier League talent to link up with the iconic audio brand. Manchester United’s breakout midfielder Kobbie Mainoo has also joined the Beats family, starring in Run the Track, a short film that follows him through the streets of Manchester, spotlighting his journey, hard work, and the music that fuels him.
The two young England internationals now join an impressive Beats roster that includes global sports icons like Lionel Messi, Alessia Russo, LeBron James, and Lamine Yamal, who signed on just last month.
While previous campaigns paired footballers with musical artistes, Cole’s ad takes a more personal approach, no artistes, no flashy cameos, just Cole, his music, and that signature ice-cold composure fans have come to love.
