Kenyan digital content creator Georgina Njenga has marked 51 days of sobriety, a milestone she says reflects her ongoing journey toward mental and physical healing.

The 22-year-old YouTuber and TikTok star recently opened up about the personal challenges she has faced, including harsh online criticism about her appearance.

In an interview with fellow content creator Price Newton, Georgina revealed how she’s navigating online bullying moving forward, emphasizing the importance of mental health and self-care.

“If I’m in a relationship, I call my boyfriend and cry. If I’m single, I just deal with it,” she shared candidly.

Fans had previously pointed out her significant weight loss, even noticing changes in the appearance of her tattoo. In response, Georgina lightheartedly said, “Tattoo imeanza kugeuka, inakaa managu,” referencing how different she looks from her earlier videos.

Since committing to sobriety and a healthier lifestyle, Georgina says she has gained 10 kilograms—a change she considers a sign of recovery after a dark period marked by depression and alcohol dependency.

“I was drinking to escape my mental health, not to have fun,” she admitted.

Georgina rose to fame in early 2023 through her viral fashion and lifestyle content. She later gained more public attention following her breakup with actor Tyler Mbaya, popularly known as Baha. The two share a daughter, Astra Kamau.

After the breakup, Georgina entered a new relationship that eventually turned toxic. Shocking videos later surfaced online showing a heated altercation between her and her then-partner.

In one clip, the man is heard threatening to break her phone and ordering her to leave: “Nitapasua hii simu… toka uendee utibiwe ama utoke hapa. Mama yako amekuambia utoke hapa. Unataka kufa kwa nyumba yangu? Ukitaka kujinyonga, jinyonge basi.”

Reports alleged that Georgina had suffered physical abuse, including bruising and bleeding. Her mother is said to have stepped in to help her leave the situation, raising concern among fans.

Addressing the incident, Georgina clarified that the video was taken four months prior and reassured her followers: “Those who are checking on me, I am okay.”
