Dancehall’s undisputed heavyweight, Vybez Kartel, has set Kenyan fans ablaze with excitement after declaring he is ready to hit the stage in Nairobi and soon. During a recent TikTok Live session, the “World Boss” made his intentions clear:

“Tell the promoters Kartel is ready to come home!”

This is not the first time Kartel has teased his love for Kenya. Earlier this year, when a Kenyan fan asked when he woud finally grace the country with a performance, the Jamaican superstar casually dropped:

“2025.”

That one-word answer was enough to send social media into a frenzy, with fans speculating and hyping up a possible tour.

But it is more than just a show—Kartel has made it personal. In a TikTok video that has since gone viral, the US-based legend boldly declared:

“Big up Kenya man, remember I’m a Kenyan and a Jamaican. One Kenya, you hear that!”

With a massive fanbase in Kenya and across Africa, the anticipation is real. But bringing the World Boss to Nairobi will not come cheap.

Kartel recently made headlines with his eye-popping Sh193,829,281 ($1.35 million0 performance fee for the One Caribbean Music Fest in Trinidad & Tobago. The event stirred up major controversy after Kartel pulled out at the last minute, citing a breach of contract.

According to Jacho Entertainment Ltd, the event’s promoters, the dancehall icon had already received 142,065,000 ($1.1 million), $950,000 directly to him and $150,000 to his legal team. The remaining balance, they claim, was available but could not be paid in cash due to financial restrictions.

The fallout has prompted an official investigation by Trinidad and Tobago’s Finance Minister, adding even more heat to an already fiery saga.
