Comedian and philanthropist Eric Omondi has come to the aid of Joseph Mutua, a man who moved thousands online after livestreaming the auction of his belongings.
On Sunday, July 13, Mutua stunned Kenyans with his composure and optimism as auctioneers cleared his home.

Among the repossessed items were essential tools used in Mutua’s swimming pool construction business, a company that not only supported him but also employed several others.
When asked what kind of help he needed, Mutua humbly declined handouts and instead requested a job to rebuild his life and continue supporting his staff.
Eric Omondi shared Mutua’s phone number, urging Kenyans to contribute whatever they could to help him get back on his feet.
