The Judiciary is experiencing ongoing disruptions to its digital systems, including its eFiling and Cause List platforms, following a series of technical issues that began late last week.

The disruptions, attributed to external interference with network services, have prompted a phased service resumption effort led by the Judiciary’s technical team.Initial system outages were reported on Thursday 10th July affecting public access to the Judiciary’s key online platforms and paralysing operations. While partial restoration was achieved by Sunday, July 13, additional challenges were recorded on Monday, July 14, prolonging the disruptions.

In a statement issued Monday, the Office of the Chief Registrar said that despite the outages, judicial services have remained accessible through alternative channels. These include submission of urgent and time-bound filings via official email addresses.

Over the affected period, 282 such applications were received and are under review. In addition, 2,256 criminal cases were filed and processed through the Judiciary’s systems.

A public notice was issued on Monday to guide users on filing procedures as digital services are progressively restored. The Judiciary advised court users to follow the new instructions closely and provided multiple contact points for technical support.

“The Judiciary remains committed to ensuring uninterrupted access to justice and thanks all court users for their continued patience, cooperation, and understanding,” said Hon. Winfridah B. Mokaya, Chief Registrar of the Judiciary.
