Popular Kenyan musician Charisma has thrown his weight behind a fan’s suggestion to host a concert where entry would require nothing more than a voter’s card.
Responding to a post on X, the Sina Noma hitmaker called the idea “brilliant.”
“This isn’t a bad idea. A massive massive concert with many artists and all you need is a voter’s card! Love it,” he said.
The idea was first floated by X user @pogbarian11553, who urged artists to come together and organize such a show in the run-up to the next elections.
“Months before the election naomba @luhyaheat na Kodongklan mtupee show na entry ni voters card,” he wrote.
The suggestion sparked a flurry of reactions online, with netizens quickly chiming in.

“And an IEBC tent to register those without,” suggested @Muluvi.
“Na muende pia huko mashinani,” added @mainaffs, pushing for inclusion of rural audiences.
“Ikiwezekana iwe several shows around the nation,” said @Wambugu.
“Sana sana two weeks before voter registration ifungwe,” proposed @Asaphjay, highlighting timing as key.
However, not everyone was on board.
“Kenya does not have a voter’s card right now. We have a biometric voter register. All you have to present is your ID or Passport,” noted @Alex_Omondy.
Still, the overall sentiment leaned toward support and action.
“It’s time to move to the implementation stage,” urged @dogo_la_mtwapa.
Charisma, whose full name is Fidel Eli Shammah Omusula, is a Nairobi-based Afro-pop singer, songwriter, and performer known for his fusion of contemporary sounds and traditional African rhythms.
He recently made headlines after appearing in a light-hearted video alongside former Chief Justice and presidential hopeful David Maraga.
The skit came in response to social media chatter suggesting Maraga lacked “charisma.”

“Some of you have said I do not have charisma. I have a surprise for you!” Maraga said in the clip.
Charisma then appeared, delivering a playful remix of his hit Sina Noma, customized for the occasion.
“Don’t you disrespect Maraga, sina noma my guy,” he sang in the now-viral video that delighted many online.
