Philanthropist and digital influencer Karangu Muraya has issued a stern warning to Mugithi sensation Samidoh, urging him to stop mentioning his name during live performances.

Taking to Facebook, Karangu expressed his displeasure, stating that while he respects the artist, the repeated banter has gone too far.

“I respect you but too much of something is poisonous… I just feel that you are now overdoing it. Please sir, hiyo mambo ya kuniita ‘maraya,’ you should stop bro… It’s hurting,” he posted.

Karangu accompanied the post with a video clip showing Samidoh on stage, inviting fans to join in the controversial chant that referenced him.

The post quickly went viral, drawing mixed reactions from fans.

“Thank you for speaking out, my brother. Insulting someone in public is so shameful,” wrote Mugo Karanja.

However, not everyone agreed. Njeri Njoroge commented, “You could have called him directly instead of posting.”

Michuki Gavana defended the singer, stating, “It’s the audience who sing back with that unpopular banter.”

Karangu and Samidoh have long been known as close friends, and many viewed the on-stage remarks as harmless fun. But Karangu’s recent statement suggests the jokes may have crossed a line.

The online exchange comes as Karangu continues to face intense public scrutiny following revelations about his personal life earlier this year.

The storm began when he publicly declared himself a polygamist, confirming speculation about a second wife.

What followed was a dramatic escalation on social media, culminating in a viral TikTok livestream by his wife of 13 years, Trizah Njeri.

In the emotional session that was christened “TikTok Court”, Trizah accused Karangu of infidelity, emotional neglect, and abandoning their family for another woman.

The exposé shocked many fans, with Trizah detailing the emotional toll the situation had taken on her and their two children.

The controversy intensified with Trizah’s emotional public disclosures and reports of wrangles between the two wives, playing out on social media platforms.

While Carol Kim addressed and clarified details about her prior marriage and divorce, Karangu himself publicly acknowledged the challenging period for his family and appealed for privacy, affirming his respect for Trizzah and her choices, while expressing hope for reconciliation and a stronger future.
