Renowned fashion designer Bolo Bespoke has denied rumours linking his wealth to the Illuminati and money laundering (wash wash).

During an interview on Radio Maisha’s Connect show, Bespoke addressed rumours linking his wealth to illicit activities, including the secret society.

The designer firmly denied these claims, emphasising that his success roots from hard work and entrepreneurship in the fashion industry.

Bespoke also disclosed that his wife gifted him a luxurious, top-of-the-range Land Cruiser.

Over time, many have speculated about Bespoke’s seemingly lavish lifestyle, questioning how a tailor could afford such opulence.

These doubts were clearly shown when his wife, Mueni, returned from a business trip from China, prompting critics to allege hidden sources of income.

“Ameenda kutafuta ndio muwache kusema ni illuminati,” Bespoke said; however, Bespoke emphasised that his wealth is legitimately earned through his hard work.

Known for his exquisite designs, particularly for high-profile occasions, Bolo Bespoke also revealed his interest in redefining fashion in Kenya, with many people struggling to believe that a tailor could achieve such success, often associating tailors with people whose entire lives depend on sitting at the sewing machine.

“Most people see tailors as people who only sit on the sewing machine” he noted Bespoke not only dismissed that but acknowledge himself as not just a tailor, but also one with a full-fledged fashion entrepreneur and a massive empire.

With consistent hard work, he claimed, his brand has experienced massive growth, evolving into a full-scale fashion empire.

With the constant growth in his industry, as of now he owns a factory with employees managing various departments, and his business generates substantial income, allowing him to sustain his luxurious lifestyle.

Some people also assumed, when designing clothes for the fashion industry, particularly, flashy weddings, the process could be used for money laundering purposes; however, the designer refutes the claim, stating he has no knowledge of what money laundering is and is solemnly dedicated to his craft.

He added that he focuses on designing, and the money he earns purely comes from his work with no ties to any illegal activities.

Additionally, many celebrities are known for endorsing car deals, often as part of advertisements. However, in this case, the designer clarifies that when his wife gifted him a brand-new luxury car on Father’s Day, it was not a paid endorsement.

He emphasises that he does not engage in such deals and that the car was genuinely a gift from his spouse, Mueni.
