Shourtie Official is a talented Afro-pop and dancehall artiste born in Kisii County. She discovered her passion for music at an early age, growing up in church, where she began to hone her craft.

She officially launched her career in 2015 with the release of her debut record, ‘Genda’.

She fuses Afro-pop and dancehall, featuring relatable themes that resonate with her audience. Her musical influences include prominent artistes such as Tiwa Savage, Cindy Sanyu, Fena Gitu, and Redsan.

Over the years, she has gained recognition for her engaging performances and captivating presence

She has also worked with a couple of artistes such as Nigerian Johnny Benzx and Kenyans Heavy Cane and Limbofest.

Recently, she teamed up with fellow Kenyans Teslah, and award-winning producer Vic West in making ‘Monaco’, a  feel-good anthem.

The track has already garnered good traction on Audiomack, where it’s been featured on two major playlists: ‘Best of the Week: Afrosounds’ and ‘Discover: Afrosounds’.

It’s playful, adventurous, and carries a youthful energy that feels like a spontaneous road trip with Monaco as the dream destination.

With the infectious hook, “shida zote tuziweke kwenye floor” (put all our problems down), it encourages listeners to drop their worries and get lost in the rhythm.

Teslah’s vocals glide smoothly over the beat, effortlessly blending emotion and melody.

Shourtie Official brings the energy with his charismatic delivery, while Vic West, no stranger to crafting hits, brings it all together with a dynamic fusion of Afro-pop, dancehall, and coastal vibes.

The production is clean, layered and made for movement.
