Motorists who were caught in the morning traffic had to find alternative routes.

Those on Mombasa Road heading to the CBD were forced to use Likoni–Enterprise Road at General Motors or the Southern Bypass at Ole Sereni.

Those on Langata Road bound for the city centre diverted via Raila Odinga Road (formerly Mbagathi way) or Muhoho Road at Mbagathi Roundabout.

Kasarani Stadium will be hosting Angola and DR Congo match which kicks off at 8pm.
