Woman shows off expensive money bouquet gift from lover, excites netizens: “God, when?”

When it comes to gifts, nothing quite beats cold, hard cash.

X user Whitney Wangari set social media ablaze after flaunting a massive money bouquet gifted by her fiancé for her birthday.

“Thank you to my man, I feel so blessed and lucky omg!” she captioned alongside the viral photo.

The bouquet was neatly arranged with Sh500 notes, while the number “22” — her age — was crafted from Sh1,000 notes.

Within minutes, the post went viral, racking up more than 2.5 million impressions and sparking mixed reactions online.

Some were impressed, others jealous, and a few… just hilarious.

“The lover boy side of me that mom raised can do such and more, shida ni hapo kwa float,” wrote one user.

Another joked, “I’m afraid no one will experience this from me. However, ya Uber, ya ku-refill gas na ya Delmonte baridi, nitatuma once in a while.”

Others couldn’t resist dragging the taxman into the conversation, tagging the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) and demanding an investigation.

Polo Kimani quipped: “@KRACorporate @DCI_Kenya kuna mambo inaendelea apa and ainifulahishi ata kidogo. Kindly investigate, thanks.”

Not everyone was impressed, though.

One user, George Diano, wrote: “The moment you buy her flowers is the day she’ll start seeing you as a weak man. Trust me, speaking from experience.”

The value of the bouquet in question could not immediately be confirmed, though speculations have put the figure at hundreds of thousands.

Money bouquets have become a popular alternative to traditional flowers in Kenya.

Unlike roses that wilt, cash bouquets are both Insta-worthy and practical — giving the recipient money they can actually use.

“All you need is firm paper, skewers, masking tape, and of course, the notes,” bouquet expert Lutfya Said explained in a past interview with The Standard.

But with hundreds of thousands in cash involved, caution is key.

“I handle all deliveries myself. It’s risky to trust others with money,” she added.
