ICT Cabinet Secretary William Kabogo is trending after photos of his fashion choices during engagements in the United States went viral.
Kabogo, long known for his unconventional sense of style, first caught the eye of netizens when pictures emerged of him alongside Mining CS Hassan Joho on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly.
The chatter intensified when Kabogo later shared snaps with Nigeria’s Minister of ICT, Dr Bosun Tijani.
In the widely shared photo, Kabogo sported a checked blazer over a plain shirt and tie, paired with navy trousers and brown leather shoes with brightly coloured soles.
Honored to connect with H.E. Helle Meinertz, Consul General of Denmark in New York. I expressed our gratitude for the invitation to share Kenya’s digital transformation journey. We discussed how Kenya is leveraging on digitization and digitalization to enhance public service… pic.twitter.com/fiSo2b98ZQ

Tijani, by contrast, opted for a sharp navy suit, crisp shirt, and tie knotted in a Prince Albert style, completed with polished black shoes.
In another frame, Kabogo was pictured in the same outfit standing next to Denmark’s Consul General in New York, Helle Meinertz – a pose that also sparked online debate.
Social media users were quick to weigh in.
One wrote on X: “Mhe Waziri, uko na pesa. Get an image/wardrobe consultant and accept his advice. Unachoma Babah. Can image consultants please put quotations here with a monthly price? Tusaidieni Waziri…”
Another added: “What’s up Mhesh with all these oversized coats? You’ve got the money. Get a designer. Stop embarrassing us on a global stage. Honestly.”
This is not the first time Kabogo’s wardrobe has attracted ridicule.
Months ago, an image of him in a white shirt, formal tie, khaki trousers, colourful striped socks and tan safari boots went viral.
Many joked the look was more suited for a safari than a Cabinet meeting, turning the former Kiambu governor into an instant meme.
As always, Kenyan netizens deployed their trademark wit – not only mocking Kabogo’s fashion choices but also cheekily questioning his grasp of ICT matters with tongue-in-cheek captions.
