Gospel singer Rozinah Mwakideu has described her past marriage to renowned motivational speaker Robert Burale as “the biggest mistake of her life.”

In an interview with media personality Alex Mwakideu, who is also her brother, Rozinah reflected candidly on her marriage, calling it a dark chapter in her life.

“My biggest mistake in life was marrying Robert Burale, and my darkest period was being with him. I know why na si kwa ubaya. I have grown, healed, and moved on. I thank God for that,” she said.

She did not delve into the reasons for the separation but emphasized that, even at fifty, the marriage remains one of her life’s biggest regrets.

“Lakini paka wa leo, nimeturn fifty years last week and it still remains to be my biggest mistake,” Rozinah added.

Alex Mwakideu also interviewed Robert Burale about his side of the story. He responded thoughtfully, describing the marriage simply as a case of two people who didn’t work out.

“This is my former brother-in-law; I was married to his sister. It is just that sometimes two good people just didn’t work out,” Burale said.

When asked whether there was any form of violence in the marriage, Burale was clear:

“There was no violence in my marriage. There was no infidelity in my marriage.”

The interview has sparked lively debate on social media. Kenyans weighed in with their reactions, some humorous and others skeptical.

Wallace wrote on Instagram, “Wale wa marriage hubamba mafala the floor is yours.”

Another user, Young Legacy, commented, “And Mwakideu is pretending like he’s hearing this story for the very first time.”

Alphonse Musyoka added, “Akisema si kwa ubaya, ni kwa ubaya.”
