Bongo Flava singer Marioo (Omary Mwanga) has dropped a social media bombshell, moving beyond a simple announcement to publicly address the intense drama and negative advice he and his partner, Paula Kajala, faced regarding her pregnancy.
In a powerful, no-holds-barred post, the Dear Ex hitmaker lauded Paula for standing firm against pressure to terminate the pregnancy, while simultaneously issuing a scathing warning to critics and relationship saboteurs.
Marioo’s Swahili post, which has since gone viral, confirms that Paula Kajala was subjected to immense external pressure and negative advice when her pregnancy was first revealed, including alleged encouragement from some quarters to get an abortion.
“Kipindi Mpenzi Wangu Ana Ujauzito walitokea Wajuaji wengi na Kumshawishi atoe ile Mimba… Nashukuru Mpenzi wangu Hakuweza Kufanya hivyo kwa Mimi Nikapuuzia Yakaisha Maisha yanaendelea Sasa. The post then takes a dramatic turn as Marioo addresses specific individuals he accuses of spreading malicious gossip and attempting to wreck relationships.
He directs his anger at “Wadada na Wakaka wa Mjini watu Maarufu na Wanasiasa Machawa na Makuwadi” (City girls and boys, celebrities, politicians, proxies, and pimps).
Marioo vows to change his approach and publicly shame those who interfere in their lives.
