Kenya is making a dazzling return to the global beauty arena after a four-year hiatus, with Fridah Muthoni Kariuki, fondly known as Noni, strutting as Miss International Kenya 2025.

Noni, a passionate climate champion and youth leader, is set to represent Kenya at the 63rd Miss International Beauty Pageant in Tokyo, Japan, where she will showcase not only her elegance but also her advocacy for environmental conservation and youth empowerment.

“Her journey symbolises the courage and brilliance of young African women rising to inspire change,” read a statement from Miss International Kenya.

During the crowning ceremony, First Daughter Charlene Ruto expressed pride in the new titleholder, praising her determination and authenticity.

“It was my distinct honour to crown Fridah Muthoni Kariuki as Miss International Kenya! For the first time in four years, Kenya will be represented at the Miss International pageant in Japan — one of the top global beauty platforms,” Charlene said.

“Noni is the epitome of the Proverbs 31 woman and a true reflection of the Kenyan youth spirit. She didn’t wait for opportunities to come her way — she chased them down. Now it’s our turn as Kenyans to rally behind her, endorse her, and vote for her. Ameweza!”

Noni’s campaign will focus on “beauty with purpose”, using her international platform to champion climate action, empower young women, and elevate Kenya’s voice in global sustainability conversations.

“It doesn’t matter who you are or where you come from — if you put God first and believe in yourself, you are unstoppable,” she stated on her socials.

“As Miss International Kenya, I believe beauty is powerful, especially when used to inspire change, empower communities, and protect our planet.”

Public voting for Miss International 2025 is now open worldwide on the official Miss International App, where supporters can cast their votes to help Kenya bring the coveted crown home.

The announcement, made under the leadership of The Young People’s Network International (TYPNI), marks a fresh chapter for the country in one of the world’s most prestigious pageants, which ranks alongside Miss World and Miss Universe.
