American rapper A$AP Rocky has been crowned the Fashion Icon of the Year at the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) Awards held on November 3.
The 37-year-old artist took to the stage to accept the prestigious honour, using the moment to pay a heartfelt tribute to his partner and global superstar Rihanna, whom he credited as his biggest source of inspiration.
“Baby girl, I love you, boo,” the Praise the Lord hitmaker began, addressing Rihanna directly from the podium as the crowd erupted in applause.
Rocky, whose real name is Rakim Mayers, noted that the Diamonds singer had received the same award back in 2014, a milestone that fuelled his own ambition to one day follow in her fashionable footsteps.
“You won this so long ago, remember what I told you? You inspire me, imma win that award one day. We did it baby!” he exclaimed, proudly lifting his trophy as the audience cheered.
On the red carpet, the rapper continued to gush about his partner, telling reporters, “I feel good, and that’s an understatement. Especially when your partner is an icon herself.”
The power couple, who went public with their relationship in November 2020 after years of friendship, are now parents to three children, sons RZA (3) and Riot (2), and their newest addition, daughter Rocki Irish, born in September.
Their joint appearance at the 2025 CFDA Fashion Awards at New York’s American Museum of Natural History was nothing short of show-stopping.
A$AP Rocky channelled timeless sophistication in a Chanel suit, layered over a butter-yellow V-neck sweater, finished with cream Chanel shoes featuring black tips.
Rihanna, ever the fashion powerhouse, turned heads in an Alaïa Spring/Summer 2026 ensemble, a long black belted trench coat paired with a sleek turtleneck and flowing white trousers tucked into her shoes, blending power and grace in signature Fenty style.
