Ten Ballz has released his latest single, “Ajigi Manohera Makare”, a track that blends Luo, English, and Swahili.
Announcing the release, Ten Ballz attributed the song to a genuine pursuit for sincere love, a paradox that faces many relationships in the current world.
“Love should be sincere, and when you care, it should come from the heart,” said Ten Ballz while announcing the release.
“This song is my way of reminding people that love, peace, and unity start from within,” he added.
The title combines “Ajigi”, a term used by Ten Ballz to mean “a lovely dance” or “joyful movement of love,” with “Manohera Makare”, a Luo phrase meaning “true love” or “fair love.”
The combination, portraying the artist’s key focus on love as both emotional and expressive.
On the track, Ten Ballz is joined by Mark Wuod Aboke, whose vocals add a Luo cultural dimension to the song.
The single is part of Ten Ballz’s upcoming EP, “JOWI”, which draws from Ohangla, a traditional Luo music style known for its energetic drumming, storytelling, and rhythm.
The EP aims to bring together traditional African sounds with contemporary influences, creating music that incorporates both heritage and modern Afro-fusion elements.
Ballz and Aboke’s collaboration contributes to the EP’s focus on African musical traditions while exploring modern rhythms and arrangements.
“Ajigi Manohera Makare” is part of Ten Ballz’s broader work in Afro-fusion, combining traditional instruments, storytelling, and contemporary beats to explore themes of love, humanity, and identity across different cultural contexts.
