A Kenyan taxi driver in Dubai has endured a terrifying ordeal after a client he had picked up early in the morning suddenly turned violent.

The viral video circulating widely online shows the driver collecting his passenger at 5.58 a.m., beginning what appears to be a routine ride before the situation takes a disturbing and unexpected turn.

The footage shows the passenger entering the vehicle quietly and settling in the back seat, but instead of facing forward, he turns to the opposite side. The Kenyan driver noticed the odd posture but proceeded calmly, starting the trip without confrontation.

Moments later, the client shifts again, this time sliding directly behind the driver’s seat, setting the stage for an escalation that unfolds rapidly.

His behaviour grew increasingly unsettling. The passenger reached forward and touched the driver suggestively, prompting immediate discomfort.

The driver reacted instinctively, pushing the hand away while attempting to remain professional. The unwanted advances continue, showing the man’s refusal to back off.

The situation quickly became violent as the passenger lunged forward, using his arm to overpower the driver as he grabbed at him aggressively. He leaned toward the front and appeared to attempt to choke him around the neck.

Panic filled the vehicle as the driver screamed for him to stop, but the attacker responded by yelling, “Shut the f*ck up!” while tightening his grip.

Sensing imminent danger, the driver fought back, wrestling free just enough to push open his door and escape the car. Even as he stumbled out, the passenger continued restraining him, but the driver eventually managed to break away.

Inside the vehicle, the attacker’s behaviour turns even more erratic. Alone now, he shouted, “You want to kill me,” his tone more agitated than afraid. He then climbed into the driver’s seat and appeared to attempt to drive off, raising further questions about his intentions.

The footage has sparked widespread outrage, with many viewers commending the Kenyan driver’s quick thinking and resilience.
