Pastor Victor Kanyari has opened up about the depth of his recent struggles, sharing a heartfelt and vulnerable message with his followers on Facebook.
He revealed how each morning brings a fresh wave of reality, a reminder of the emotional weight he and his young children, Sky and Danny, continue to carry.
“I look at Sky and Danny, and my heart breaks all over. They’re so young, so innocent, and yet life has handed them a pain far too big for their little hearts,” he said.
Kanyari further confessed that he wakes up in tears, unaware of when they began to fall, as the enormity of his situation settled in once again. He described quiet moments that quickly shift to heartbreaking inquiries he often feels too weak to answer.
“One moment they’re quiet… The next, they’re asking questions I have no strength to answer. And deep down, I’m trying to be their rock while I’m still trying to gather the broken pieces of myself,” he said.
Despite his own pain, Kanyari says he is determined to be the pillar his children need. “God trusted me with these two souls… and I will not fail them,” he wrote.
He further extended deep gratitude to the many people who have supported him and his family. Their prayers and messages, he said, have wrapped around his home “like a blanket on the coldest nights,” offering comfort in a time of profound difficulty.
He described his current life as centred on one mission: to protect his children, be their strength, and show them that love endures even in the darkest moments.
“Right now my life is simple: Protect my children. Be their comfort. Be their strength. And show them that even in the darkest moments, love still wins,” he wrote.
In his message he also encouraged other parents facing hardship, praying that God grants them the same courage he seeks daily and that healing finds their homes slowly and steadily.
