Former Astronomer Human Resource, Kristin Cabot, the woman involved in the viral Coldpaly concert ‘kiss cam’ moments, is speaking out for the first time months after the incident of publicly seen sharing an embrace with Andy Byron, the then CEO of Astronomer, her boss.
It is reported that Cabot and Byron were with friends at the Coldplay concert show at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough on July 16th when suddenly they were shown together on the “‘Kiss cam”.
“I made a bad decision and had a couple of alcoholic drinks and danced and acted inappropriately with my boss”, said Cabot. “And it’s not nothing. I took accountability and I gave up my career for that. That’s the price I chose to pay” Cabot told New York Times during an interview.
The video quickly went viral as it attracted over 100 million views within days, turning Cabot into what the New York Times described as “a punchline and a target” almost overnight.
She said she was labeled “a slut”, “homewrecker and a “gold digger” while being also body shamed and bullied.
She adds that, for weeks she was doxxed, received death threats and close to “500 or 600 calls a day”, as Paparazzi camped outside her home.
The situation got worse to an extent of her kids were afraid to be seen in the public with her, they thought they were going to die with their mother.
The former Astronomer Human Resource rectifies that at the time, her and her then second husband Andrew, ware amicably separated and they both had dates to the same concert.
She insists that she was not in a sexual relationship with Byron, claiming that before the said night, they had never even kissed.
She was suspended only to be invited back to work but declined, while Byron resigned a few days later.
Cabot 53, has since filed for divorce from her husband while Byron 50, chaos silence, his marital status remaining unclear as he was spotted publicly with his wife still with both their wedding rings intact.
