Ivy Trizah Muhenje has been crowned the new Miss World Kenya 2026, following a glamorous coronation ceremony held in Nairobi.

According to the franchise, the decision to crown the national queen earlier than usual was influenced by uncertainty surrounding the international Miss World calendar, with global finals rumoured to take place as early as March 2026.

Organisers said the early transition ensures Kenya does not miss key international deadlines and allows adequate time for preparation.

“This approach allows us to channel all our efforts into intensive training, wardrobe preparation and the development of Ivy’s Beauty with a Purpose project,” the organisers said, reaffirming the pageant’s focus on impact-driven advocacy.

Muhenje is no stranger to the spotlight, having served as Miss World Kenya 2024/2025 first runner-up.

Pageant officials described her as a poised and dedicated candidate who has consistently demonstrated the values required of a national representative.

Her crowning signals the start of preparations for the 73rd Miss World global finals, where she will represent Kenya on the international stage.

Franchise Director Mrs Terry Mungai, EBS, said the organisation remains committed to its long-term calendar, noting that the traditional grand finale will still be held towards the end of 2026 to crown Mr and Miss World Kenya 2027.
