Fans of Nigerian Afrobeats sensation Asake endured hours of frustration and chaos at Nyayo Stadium in Nairobi as his Money African tour performance was delayed by nearly four hours.
Although the gates reportedly closed at 9:00 PM, the singer did not take the stage until about 1:00 am, leaving attendees waiting in heavy rain and cold.
Viral clips showed people scrambling to enter the venue in a stampede, raising safety concerns, though no injuries have been confirmed.
Many criticised the organisers, Tukutane, for poor communication during the delays.

The event was further marred by the withdrawal of popular group Kodong Klan, who cited disrespect, broken contracts, and bad experiences during soundcheck.
In a statement, the group said, “Despite multiple efforts on our part to adjust and resolve these issues in good faith, our concerns were not taken seriously,” exposing a total loss of trust between the group and the event’s organisers.
Despite these challenges, Asake’s performance ultimately won over fans.

The Lonely on the Top hitmaker arrived in an all-denim suit and white t-shirt, performing his chart-topping hits to a packed stadium.
Clips from the concert quickly went viral, showing fans dancing and singing along.
Mumias East MP Peter Salasya was among the audience, sharing videos on Instagram and stating, “For those who missed at Nyayo, let me bring it whole now here. We shall bring him again in Kakamega.”
Kenyans on social media expressed mixed reactions to the concert.
