As the dust settles on Kenya’s most competitive entertainment month, one truth is now backed by numbers; Samidoh owned December.

A close look at the singer’s official festive-season poster reveals an eye-watering 26 live performances spread across December and the first days of January, confirming what fans on the ground already knew: the mugithi star was virtually everywhere.

From December 4 to January 4, Samidoh ran one of the most punishing festive schedules in recent memory, performing almost every other night; and on some days, twice.

The poster shows Samidoh kicked off the run on December 4 with a private event before embarking on a relentless tour that cut across Kiambu, Embu, Nyeri, Murang’a, Nairobi, Laikipia and Nakuru counties.

One of the clearest indicators of his demand came on Sunday, December 7, when he pulled off two shows in one day; Kavagara Fest at Embu Stadium and later at The Tide, Kiambu Town, a feat only artistes with serious stamina and crowd-pulling power can attempt.

By Christmas week; when most artistes slow down; Samidoh shifted into overdrive, lighting up Leyian Grill in Naivasha on Christmas Eve, Solana Junction Lounge in Nyahururu on Christmas Day, and Members Grill in Molo on Boxing Day.

The momentum never dipped as the year drew to a close, with premium shows locked in at Nokras Riverine Hotel in Sagana on New Year’s Eve and Jam Rescue on Jogoo Road ushering in the New Year.

And as the year wrapped up, the pace only intensified, with top-tier bookings lined up for the finale:

He then powered through four more shows between January 2 and January 4, officially closing the festive circuit at Quiver Lounge, Kenol.

In an industry where December separates hype from hard cash, 26 bookings in just over 30 days is not accidental. Promoters only hand over peak dates to acts that can guarantee crowds, professionalism and consistency.

After completing the marathon, Samidoh shared a “Thank You” poster, accompanied by a heartfelt message to fans who turned up night after night.

“I can’t thank you enough for the incredible love you’ve shown us as we visited different towns,” he wrote, also saluting his band for surviving endless road trips, late nights and back-to-back performances.
