Diddy denies not paying employees during prison term, calls claims inaccurate

A spokesperson for Sean “Diddy” Combs has denied claims that some of the music executive’s employees have gone unpaid during his incarceration, calling recent reports “inaccurate and misleading.”

The allegations, reported by outlets including TMZ, suggested that certain staff members, including attorneys handling Combs’ legal matters, had not received compensation while he remains in custody.

Sources reportedly said the situation caused frustration, with at least one employee allegedly resigning over unpaid wages.

Combs’ representative Juda Engelmayer told Us Weekly, “The reports are misleading. Mr. Combs is in complete control of his personal and business finances. Payroll and vendor payments are handled through standard business and accounting processes, with routine review and verification before payouts are made.”

He insisted, “There is no unusual restriction on finances and no basis for claims that payments are being improperly withheld.”

TMZ sources claim that Tri Star Sports & Entertainment Group is overseeing Combs’ finances, monitoring expenditures, and controlling fund distribution, even within his family.

Allegedly, family members operate under set budgets and must submit invoices for approval if they exceed those limits.

One reported instance involved a family dinner prior to Combs’ sentencing, which required invoice approval from Tri Star before reimbursement.

Despite these conflicting accounts, Combs’ camp maintains that all financial matters are being handled appropriately.

Questions remain over the day-to-day management of his finances while he serves time, though his representatives continue to insist there are no irregularities.
