American comedian Tracy Morgan has gone viral after firmly shutting down an old acquaintance who asked for help, citing past mistreatment.
In a video shared on X and seen by TNX Africa, the ‘Cop Out’ actor confronted the man, saying, “I remember you, William. Don’t talk to me like I owe you something. You used to talk all that to me when we were younger… when we were younger. You think I forgot.”
The dishevelled man acknowledged that he was the person Morgan was referring to and pleaded for assistance, saying, “I was just saying, can I get something please. I am homeless, boy.”
Morgan remained firm, replying, “It ain’t got nothing to do with me, I take care of my kids.”

Tracy Morgan began his acting career on the show Martin before becoming a prominent cast member on Saturday Night Live, where he portrayed memorable characters like Brian Fellow.
He later starred as a fictionalised version of himself on 30 Rock and has appeared in numerous films and animated projects.
He also headlined The Tracy Morgan Show. Despite a severe car accident in 2014, Morgan returned to comedy with stand-up specials and series such as The Last O.G. and Crutch.
Over his career, he has won multiple awards and made history as the first Black recipient of the Entertainment Icon Award from the New York Friars Club.
The clip sparked debate online, with fans divided over Morgan’s response.
Some supported the comedian, while others called for compassion.
