VIDEO: Chinese woman busted cheating at Casino using high-tech contact lens

Casino officials in China arrested a woman after discovering she was using a high-tech contact lens to cheat during card games.

In a video seen by TNX Africa, staff temporarily halted play to inspect the table and equipment, where they discovered special markings on the backs of playing cards.

The markings were invisible to the naked eye but could be detected using specialised optical devices.

Further investigations revealed that the unidentified woman was using the lens that appeared completely ordinary.

In reality, the lens was designed to detect the hidden markings on the cards, allowing her to identify their values and accurately predict the flow of the game.

With this technological advantage, she was able to make near-perfect decisions, giving her a significant edge over the casino.

The incident quickly went viral on Chinese social media, where users reacted with sarcasm and irony.

Many pointed out that gambling is illegal in mainland China, noting that by reporting the incident, the casino may have inadvertently exposed its own illegal operations.

The case has also renewed attention on the growing use of technology in gambling fraud.

Infrared cameras, for instance, have been used to read marked cards in poker games.

In September last year, police in Birmingham, England, warned overseas students against participating in illegal gambling dens, explaining that some players use marked cards combined with infrared cameras to secretly view opponents’ hands.

In May last year, a TikToker known as Brutal Chameleon went viral after claiming a casino refused to pay out his blackjack winnings.

He later revealed that he was a card counter, a practice that is legal in the United States but heavily discouraged by casinos and often leads to players being banned.
