Fallout? Pastor Kanyari shares cryptic post days after warmly receiving Marion Naipei

Controversial city preacher Pastor Victor Kanyari has set tongues wagging online after posting a cryptic message that many believe hints at trouble between him and Marion Naipei.

The televangelist took to Facebook with a puzzling Swahili post, “Paka ya msituni ni ya msituni rudi msituni nimechoka…” a line that immediately sent social media into overdrive.

Adding fuel to the fire, Nairobi County Chief Officer Geoffrey Mosiria quickly jumped into the conversation, tagging Kanyari in a cheeky post of his own.

“Jameni mimi niliosha mikono zangu kitambo kama Pontius Pilate! Maswali yote na tags ziende kwa Prophet Kanyari. He’s in charge. Acha nimeze Brufen nilale sasa… ama niaje, majamaa?” Mosiria wrote, sending netizens into fits of laughter.

The back-to-back posts ignited a flurry of reactions online, with users offering hot takes, jokes and thinly veiled digs.

“If a man decides to carry his mother-in-law across a river, then he must have the courage to touch her butt,” commented one user, Mutembei Joshua.

Another quipped, “I wanted to be the first to comment, but the unemployed are too quick.”

Marion had recently been thrust into the spotlight following the leak of her intimate videos, which subjected her to intense online ridicule and criticism.

Initially acting as her champion and defender, Mosiria reportedly sought to help her turn her life around and even took a stance against those who had violated her privacy.

However, following public backlash and reports regarding her private online activities, Mosiria made a dramatic “U-turn” in late January 2026.

Claiming divine guidance after a three-day fast, he reversed his support and began calling for her arrest, eventually distancing himself further by directing inquiries about her to Pastor Kanyari.

Now, the timing of Kanyari’s post raises even more eyebrows, coming just days after he publicly embraced Marion Naipei during a church service at his Salvation Healing Ministry.

Kanyari, when accepting Marion into his church, offered what appeared to be a strong show of support.

“I’ve committed to supporting you on this journey that is just beginning. Don’t hesitate to reach out; my doors remain open,” he told her.

In a moment that drew both laughter and gasps, the preacher asked congregants if they recognised Marion from the viral clips. When several hands shot up, he jokingly told her, “You see, you’re a celebrity.”

An emotional Marion thanked the church, saying life and good health are blessings she does not take for granted.

The show of solidarity soon took a controversial turn after another video surfaced online, allegedly showing Kanyari making sexually suggestive remarks from the pulpit while referencing Marion’s leaked videos.
