Somewhere in Tanzania, a beauty salon decided to do hair and hymns at the same time, a step away from the usual gossip and chatter.
A video posted on Instagram shows hairstylists at Chido Point hair salon working their magic while singing praises.
“Nyie Mungu anahudumia watu wake njoo hapa utamaliza uchungu wote utapata familia iliyo na furaha, Kila siku ya jumapili tu!, jioni karibuni wote na tuponye mioyo kwa kusifu na kuabudu kwa sana,” the salon writes.
In the short clip, customers are captured sitting calmly, getting pampered while soaking in the spiritual environment.
One stylist is clearly feeling it, closing her eyes and staring at the ceiling like the heavens are cheering her on.
On its Instagram bio, the salon touts itself as the ultimate haven for clients seeking more than just a hairdo.
“Jumapili tunamsifu na kumuabudu Mungu aishiye. Kazi zetu zitamtukuza Mungu,” it reads.
Here, the salon enjoys a massive audience of over 90,000 followers.
Since the video went viral, social media reactions have poured in fast, with netizens amused by the unusual display of faith.
@atu_p_collection wrote, “Hii video mbona imenisisimua na mimi?”
@love_dove202 added, “Mimi nyimbo za kuabudu tu huwa zinagusa moyo hasa yan lazima nilie hata iweje. Mungu tukishindwa kuongea tafadhali sikiliza mioyo yetu ni ww pekee ujuaye ya sirini baba”
