Socialite and lawyer (and to some extent solicitor general), Corazon Kwamboka, has joined the growing list of celebrities who want to try their luck in the upcoming politics of 2027 elections.
She put Nairobi women leaders on the spot and questioned what they have managed to do to warrant them seeking to be elect.
In a recent interview she pointed out how she has seen things past leaders have done and why she thinks she can be a better option.
“I am thinking I should do something that can change the masses and lives of women. Nairobi is where I live. And the people who represent women, most of the time it is just scandal. I do not know who wore what, or who twerked for who.
I feel like maybe I should just be the representative of women in Nairobi, why not. Maybe it is a joke but you know most things start as jokes.
As a single mum raising two kids, running a business and gotten to where I am with no help, I truly understand the struggles that women go through. And I feel like people like me need to be part of the conversation.
It’s time Nairobi gets the representation it deserves,” she said.
