Snoop Dogg returns with cinematic 14-track album ’10 Til’ Midnight’

Snoop Dogg has returned with authority on his new album 10 Til’ Midnight, a 14-track project blending nostalgia, cinematic storytelling, and modern hip-hop.

Released via Death Row Records in partnership with gamma, the album sees him reconnect with his signature West Coast G-funk sound while collaborating with Swizz Beatz, Pharrell Williams, and Erick Sermon.

A visually striking short film accompanied the release, reinforcing themes of identity, growth, and life choices, in what many are calling a defining moment in his career.

The project reflects Snoop’s evolution as both an artist and cultural figure.

Having shaped West Coast hip-hop in the 1990s, he revisits that sound with a more mature, introspective lens.

He frames the album as a meditation on growth, alignment, and the decisions that shape one’s future, giving it emotional depth while preserving his trademark laid-back delivery.

Collaboration drives the album’s sonic identity.

Swizz Beatz plays a standout role, particularly on the opening track “Step,” where brass-heavy production pushes Snoop into a sharper, more commanding flow. The result is a seamless blend of vintage authority and contemporary urgency.

The accompanying short film, directed by Luis De Pena and Yaslynn Rivera, elevates the project further. Snoop takes on dual roles, Ru Little and Do Wrong, in a gritty narrative exploring street life and consequences.

With stylised visuals and appearances from Ray Vaughn and G Perico, the film underscores his role as a bridge between hip-hop generations.

Together, the album and film create a cohesive, multi-layered experience that goes beyond music into cultural storytelling.
