Kenyan rapper Khaligraph Jones expressed regret over appearing in Bien-Aimé Baraza’s “Finale” music video in an Arsenal F.C. jersey, calling it a misstep that clashed with his football loyalties amid Manchester City F.C.’s dominance over Arsenal.
Taking to social media, Khaligraph did not hold back. “It was a big mistake agreeing to be in this video. Hii ndio imeleta swara,” he wrote.
He then directly addressed Bien, saying, “Can you remove that video from YouTube, delete my parts please,” This sparked mixed reactions, with some fans amused and others questioning the seriousness of his request.
In “Finale,” Khaligraph appears in a relaxed, celebratory setting alongside other artists and personalities, but his outfit has since become the focal point. What seemed like a casual styling choice has turned into a viral talking point, blending music, football, and online culture.
The moment comes as football rivalries intensify.
Just yesterday, Manchester City again got the better of Arsenal in a tightly contested match that left Arsenal fans frustrated.
The match got off to a frantic start when Rayan Cherki fired City ahead in the 16th minute, only for Kai Havertz to equalise for the Gunners just two minutes later after a goalkeeping error by Gianluigi Donnarumma.
Despite Arsenal twice hitting the woodwork through Eberechi Eze and Gabriel, it was Erling Haaland who found the decisive breakthrough in the 65th minute, sliding home a cross from Nico O’Reilly to move City within three points of the league leaders with a game in hand
For many, Khaligraph’s regret mirrors that frustration, especially given his full Arsenal kit in a widely viewed video.
It also follows a recent pattern. Last month, Manchester City edged Arsenal to win a major domestic cup, reinforcing their upper hand this season and deepening the rivalry between the sides. That loss heightened sensitivities among Arsenal supporters, making Khaligraph’s jersey appearance a flashpoint online.
