PHOTOS: Former Governor Samuel Tunai’s daughter weds in lavish, exquisite ceremony

Former Narok Governor Samuel Ole Tunai’s daughter, Kosena, has married her partner, Andrew Wamarema, in a lavish ceremony held at Naiposha Garden in Limuru.

The wedding was attended by several prominent figures, including Defence Cabinet Secretary Soipan Tuya and other dignitaries. The Kenya Medical Supplies Authority (KEMSA) chairman and father of the bride, Samuel Kuntai Ole Tunai, did not share the event on social media, although Tuya posted about the occasion.

Accompanied by photos on X, Tuya wrote, “I joined the family of former Narok Governor, and KEMSA Chairman, Hon. Samuel Kuntai Ole Tunai, in celebrating the nuptials between their daughter Kosena and Andrew Wamarema at Naiposha Garden, Limuru. Congratulations, Andrew and Kosena!”

Kosena Tunai wore a white gown that highlighted a structured basque-waist bodice, creating a sharp V-shaped silhouette. The strapless corseted design featured delicate boning, blending modern bridal elegance with a classic finish.

Andrew Wamarema complemented the look in a white tuxedo accented with black details.

The bridesmaids wore peach off-shoulder dresses and were visibly delighted during the ceremony. Guests also adhered to a refined dress code, adding to the elegance of the occasion.

On social media, Kenyans shared congratulatory messages. On X, Hilla wrote, “They look happy and compatible.” Keziah added, “Congratulations to them.”

This high-society event in Limuru follows a pattern of grand ceremonies involving the children of Kenya’s political elite.

Weeks ago, the wedding of Michael Lulu Mudavadi, son of Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi, to Ann Nyaguthii Miitii captivated the public with its refined aesthetic and family warmth.

The ceremony featured a distinctive green and white theme, with the groom in a tailored green suit and the bride in a dazzling lace gown. The event served as a major social milestone, with the Mudavadi sharing the celebration as a deeply emotional moment of family unity and commitment.

Another notable event that set the stage for this season of luxury was the wedding of Ronnie Kiprono and Terry Mwendwa.

Their ceremony, held earlier in April 2026, became a viral sensation for its meticulous sound design and high-end fashion, drawing a massive audience both in person and across digital platforms.

These weddings have solidified a trend where private unions serve as major cultural touchpoints, blending traditional family values with the opulence expected of the country’s most influential circles.
