Kenyan stars Bien, Savara and Coster Ojwang are among the local acts set to headline Le Concert, the official closing concert of the Africa Forward Summit at the Kasarani Indoor Arena in Nairobi.
The highly anticipated event will also feature performances by the Karura Gospel Choir and the Mathare Kids, placing Kenyan talent at the centre of a major pan-African celebration alongside continental music heavyweights.
The Kenyan performers will share the stage with some of Africa’s biggest stars, including Nigerian afro-pop queen Yemi Alade, Senegalese music legend Youssou N’Dour, Congolese hitmaker Fally Ipupa, South African vocalist Nomcebo Zikode, Tanzanian singers Nandy and Abigail Chams, Ugandan veteran Jose Chameleone, Haitian-French singer Nesly, French-Ivorian rapper Vegedream and Congolese performer Kader Japonais.
Organised by TRACE, the concert aims to celebrate Africa’s cultural influence and creative excellence while highlighting music’s power to unite the continent.
For Kenya, it marks another major moment for the entertainment industry.
Bien and Savara, who rose to continental fame through Sauti Sol, continue to cement their status as solo stars while maintaining influence across African music.
Coster Ojwang, one of Kenya’s fastest-rising artists, is also expected to bring his signature blend of soulful storytelling and contemporary African sound to the stage.
The singer has built a strong following through emotionally driven music that resonates with younger audiences.
The elite stage comes on the sidelines of the Africa Forward Summit, a platform touted as a landmark, action-oriented gathering aiming to shift relations to a balanced partnership, focusing on youth, economic development, and sustainable innovation
The summit is jointly hosted by Presidents William Ruto and Emmanuel Macron, bringing together leaders, investors and innovators from across Africa and beyond to discuss the continent’s economic future.
