A small mud-walled house in Kibera, furnished with old couches and a basic television setup, is where viral comedy group Heha Movers lived and filmed some of their earliest videos before their rise to social media fame.
The modest home recently came into focus when Kenyan content creator Nicki Bigfish toured it alongside group member Patel, who offered a glimpse into the conditions in which the comedy group began.
In a video obtained by TNX Africa, Patel showed Bigfish their simple sleeping arrangements and the basic setup they used to create their early comedy skits.
He also showed him a small water hole the group had dug to help neighbours cope with persistent water shortages in the area.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF HEHA It genuinely breaks my heart to see radio personalities, renowned blogs, podcasts, and even fellow content creators constantly branding these guys negatively and, in some cases, openly predicting their downfall. Before judging them, take a moment to understand where they come from and the journey they are on. These guys have dreams, ambitions, and a genuine plan to transform their lives and create a better future for their families. Their story is bigger than social media opinions. It is about resilience, opportunity, growth, and rewriting the narrative of where they come from. They are still learning, building, and finding their way. What they need is guidance, accountability, and opportunities to grow, not people waiting to celebrate their failure. This is their journey. This is where they come from. And they are determined to change the story for themselves and their families. KILA HATUA DUA ??

Patel was joined by Mr Wahio, who calls himself the “youngest CEO”, and other members of the group during the tour.
The visit offered a glimpse into the beginnings of a comedy group that has since turned its viral popularity into commercial opportunities.
Fans on social media congratulated team for the growth of their brand and Identity. One Tiktok user AJIRI” Mshamba na ni nani atahamisha heha movers”,mesh254 hilariously asked if the house was build or delivered” ilijengwa ama waliideliver?”
Another user said Alpha_Wanjiru “ I genuinely support youths changing their life situations within this economy this is soo good”
Heha Movers initially operated under the name Kibra Laugh Industry before adopting their current identity. The group began posting short comedy videos online under the satirical corporate name “Heha Holdings Ltd”, dressing in oversized suits and pretending to run a high-end moving company.
Their catchphrase, “Tuachie keys”, meaning “Leave us the keys”, quickly caught on across social media, helping propel the group to widespread popularity.
Their online success soon attracted commercial interest, with Bigfish stepping in to help manage and guide the team.
The group has since secured commercial campaign deals with companies including Hass Petroleum and car dealership Al Siddique Motors.
The rise of Heha Movers also reflects the opportunities social media platforms such as TikTok and Facebook have created for young creatives in informal settlements, allowing them to showcase their talent, build audiences and attract commercial partnerships.
