Police are investigating the death of a 51-year-old man who was found with visible injuries along Juja Road in Nairobi.
The deceased was identified as Benjamin Mutiso, whose body was discovered opposite Kiboro Primary School.
Police said a member of the public reported the discovery, prompting officers to respond to the scene.
The officers found Mutiso’s body lying on his back beside the road, with visible injuries to his back, head and mouth.
Crime Scene Investigation officers from Starehe photographed and documented the scene as detectives began investigations into the circumstances surrounding his death.
The body was later removed and taken to the City Mortuary, where it is being preserved pending an autopsy.
Police are investigating the incident as a suspected murder.
A 54-year-old man also died after being struck by a falling tree branch while pruning trees at his compound in Mugirirwa Sub-location, Tharaka Nithi County.
The incident occurred on September 24, 2026, in Kiriguni Village, Chuka North Sub-County.
Police identified the deceased as Frankline Mutembei Njoka, who was reportedly pruning grevillea robusta trees with his brother when a branch fell and struck him on the head.
Njoka died at the scene from the injuries sustained in the incident.
Police officers from Chuka Police Station, detectives from DCI Chuka North and Crime Scene Investigation officers from Tharaka Nithi visited and processed the scene.
According to police, blood was visible around the deceased’s mouth, nose and ears.
The scene was documented and the body was subsequently moved to Chuka Referral Hospital mortuary, where it is awaiting a postmortem examination.
Meanwhile, a 26-year-old boda boda rider was found dead with multiple stab wounds along the Timbila-Ziwani Road in Taveta, Taita Taveta County.
The deceased was identified as Clement Mwadime, whose body was discovered on September 24, 2026.
Police said the body was found lying along the roadside in Timbila Location after the incident was reported to Taveta Police Station.
Police visited the scene and found Mwadime with several stab wounds to his chest.
Preliminary investigations indicate that the killing could be linked to the theft of his motorcycle, which was missing from the scene.
Mwadime was reportedly working as a boda boda rider.
Crime scene officers photographed and documented the scene before the body was removed and taken to Taveta Sub-County Hospital Mortuary, where it is awaiting an autopsy.
Police have launched investigations into the circumstances surrounding the killing and the whereabouts of the missing motorcycle.
