The organisers of KULTURE 3 have postponed the concert indefinitely, citing limited time to prepare the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) after a government event scheduled at the venue shortly before the show.
The concert was scheduled for Saturday, October 10, 2026, at KICC, with the organisers saying the government event would significantly reduce the time available for venue setup, technical production, sound checks and rehearsals.
In a statement, the KULTURE team said the decision was made after being informed of the venue’s preceding commitment.
“KULTURE is a carefully produced show, and we do not believe the preparation window now available allows us to deliver the experience to the standard we have promised,” the organisers said.
The team said it had opted to postpone the event rather than proceed with limited preparation.
The organisers did not announce a new date for the concert, saying they hoped to stage KULTURE 3 when the necessary conditions were in place.
The postponement comes after months of preparation involving artistes, partners, collaborators and the production team.
They also apologised to ticket holders and others who had supported the event.
All tickets purchased for KULTURE 3 will be refunded, with the organisers saying refunds will be processed within seven days. Further information on the refund process will be communicated directly to ticket holders.
KULTURE 3 was billed as a celebration of the music and cultural icons that shaped a generation.
The organisers did not indicate whether the government event would affect any other activities at KICC beyond the preparation period for the concert.
The KULTURE team said it hoped to eventually bring the third edition of the show to the stage as originally intended.
