Team formed to implement court order on new public protests rules

The government has formed an inter-agency team to fast-track implementation of a High Court order requiring new regulations for managing public demonstrations and police conduct.

The team comprises the Attorney-General, Interior Ministry, National Police Service, Kenya National Commission on Human Rights (KNCHR), National Police Service Commission (NPSC), Independent Policing Oversight Authority (IPOA) and other agencies.
