According to TMZ, the 56-year-old was transported by ambulance from the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) Fort Dix in the early hours of Saturday, October 10. The circumstances surrounding the injury remain unclear.
Combs’ spokesperson, Juda Engelmayer, confirmed that they were aware of the reports and were seeking to establish what had happened.
“We are aware of the reports concerning Sean Combs and are working to confirm the circumstances. Sean’s health and well-being are our immediate concern, and we appreciate everyone who has reached out,” Engelmayer said.
People magazine later reported that the injury was not life-threatening. Following medical evaluation and treatment, Combs was returned to the low-security federal prison later that afternoon.
He was subsequently placed in solitary confinement, although it was not immediately clear why prison authorities took the measure or whether it was connected to the incident.
This is not the first time Combs has reportedly been isolated during his incarceration. Previous reports indicated that he had been placed in administrative segregation after prison authorities allegedly discovered contraband in his cell.
The founder of Bad Boy Records is serving a 50-month sentence following his conviction on two federal counts of transportation to engage in prostitution.
He was initially expected to be released in early 2028, but federal records now list his projected release date as March 2, 2028.
Before being transferred to FCI Fort Dix, located in New Jersey, Combs was held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, New York
